About ICICI Bank statements
If you bank with ICICI Bank in India, the PDF bank statement is the file you start from; Satr turns its transaction table into a spreadsheet.
ICICI Bank is listed as a privately owned bank. ICICI Bank runs its head office from Mumbai. Its website domain is icici.bank.in. The source lists 1994 as its founding year.
Getting the PDF out of ICICI Bank
Open the bank statement area of ICICI Bank online banking or its app, select the account and the date range, then save or export the result as PDF. Where exactly this sits depends on the bank's current design, so follow the labels on your own screen.
Text PDFs, scans and password-protected files
When the bank generates the PDF itself, the text inside is real text, not a picture. Satr reads that text layer and rebuilds the rows from it.
A scan or a photo of a paper statement has no text layer, and Satr has no OCR, so it cannot read it. Download the PDF again from online banking instead.
Password-protected PDFs open after you type the password in your browser. Neither the password nor the file goes to a server.
How India amounts and dates are handled
Statements in India usually show amounts in INR (₹) with a dot (.) as the decimal mark and a comma (,) as the thousands separator. A typical date format is DD/MM/YYYY, DD-MM-YYYY, or DD-Mon-YYYY.
Indian digit grouping such as 12,34,567.00 is common; Satr removes the commas correctly when it reads the number. Debit and credit can be marked with Dr and Cr after the amount; Satr reads Dr as a negative number. Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.
Satr recognised these number and date patterns in our own checks, and you can still change the number format and column roles before exporting.
Using the Excel file in Tally, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks
Many people in India work with Tally, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks. You can map the Excel or CSV columns in the import screen of those programs; Satr has no integration with them and does not claim any.
What has been tested
No statement from ICICI Bank has been tested individually yet.
Satr works with text-based PDFs. Layouts tested so far: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).
Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with ICICI Bank. The bank is named only so you know which PDF this page is about.
Your ICICI Bank PDF stays on your device
Satr reads the file locally. There is no upload, no account, and nothing from the statement is stored on a server. You can confirm it with your browser's developer tools.
