Working with your Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank PDF
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank is a bank in United Arab Emirates, and its customers usually download a bank statement as a PDF from online banking or the mobile app.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank is listed as an Islamic bank; its statements may use terms such as profit instead of interest. Its headquarters are in Abu Dhabi. You can find it online at adib.com. It is also known locally as مصرف أبوظبي الإسلامي, which is the name you may see on a PDF header.
Where to find the PDF at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank
Sign in to Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank online banking or the app and look for the bank statement, e-statement or account activity section. Pick the account and the period, and choose PDF as the format. Menu names differ by bank and change over time, so use the PDF option your own screen offers.
PDF types Satr can read
When the bank generates the PDF itself, the text inside is real text, not a picture. Satr reads that text layer and rebuilds the rows from it.
A scan or a photo of a paper statement has no text layer, and Satr has no OCR, so it cannot read it. Download the PDF again from online banking instead.

Formats used in United Arab Emirates statements
Amounts in United Arab Emirates statements are typically shown in AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham), using a dot (.) for decimals and a comma (,) to separate thousands. Dates commonly look like DD/MM/YYYY or DD-Mon-YYYY.
Right-to-left text is read in logical order, with Latin words and digits kept intact. Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.
Satr recognised these number and date patterns in our own checks, and you can still change the number format and column roles before exporting.
Importing into accounting software
Accounting packages used in United Arab Emirates, such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, and Tally, let you import spreadsheet files. Export from Satr as XLSX or CSV and match the columns there; Satr is not connected to those programs.
