What to expect from your ANZ statement
Customers of ANZ in Australia typically get their bank statement as a PDF, and that PDF is what Satr reads.
ANZ is listed as a privately owned bank. Its headquarters are in Melbourne. Its website domain is anz.com.au. Its founding year in our data is 1835.
How to get the PDF bank statement from ANZ
Ask ANZ online banking for the bank statement of the account and period you need and download it as a PDF. If a PDF is not offered, the branch or the bank's support can usually provide one.
Which PDFs work
A PDF that you download from online banking normally has a real text layer, and Satr can read its rows. You can test this by trying to select text in the PDF.
A scan or a photo of a paper statement has no text layer, and Satr has no OCR, so it cannot read it. Download the PDF again from online banking instead.
If the PDF is password-protected, Satr asks for the password and opens it locally; the password is not sent anywhere.
Reading Australia amounts and dates
Statements in Australia usually show amounts in AUD ($) with a dot (.) as the decimal mark and a comma (,) as the thousands separator. A typical date format is DD/MM/YYYY or DD Mon YYYY.
Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.
In our checks Satr read these patterns correctly; the mapper still lets you switch the number format if a file differs.
Importing into accounting software
Accounting packages used in Australia, such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks, let you import spreadsheet files. Export from Satr as XLSX or CSV and match the columns there; Satr is not connected to those programs.
Status of ANZ in Satr
ANZ has not been individually tested with Satr.
The parser is generic and reads text-based PDFs. Layouts we have tested so far: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).
Satr is not affiliated with ANZ. ANZ is named only to describe the PDF you bring.
No upload: how your ANZ file is handled
Satr reads the file locally. There is no upload, no account, and nothing from the statement is stored on a server. You can confirm it with your browser's developer tools.

Questions
Can I convert my ANZ statement PDF to Excel?
That works when your ANZ PDF holds real text. Save it from online banking, load it in Satr, confirm the columns and download XLSX or CSV.
Is my ANZ statement uploaded anywhere?
No. Satr opens the PDF in your browser, so your ANZ data never reaches a server.
Is Satr connected to ANZ?
No. Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with ANZ.
Will a dot (.) and a comma (,) in my ANZ amounts be read correctly?
Typical Australia statements use a dot (.) as the decimal mark and a comma (,) for thousands. Check the preview and change the number format if a value looks wrong.
Where is ANZ headquartered?
According to the public list we used, ANZ is headquartered in Melbourne. Where the head office is does not change how a PDF statement is converted.
