About BBVA statements
BBVA is a bank in Spain, and its customers usually download a bank statement (extracto bancario) as a PDF from online banking or the mobile app.
BBVA runs its head office from Bilbao.
Getting the PDF out of BBVA
Open the bank statement (extracto bancario) area of BBVA online banking or its app, select the account and the date range, then save or export the result as PDF. Where exactly this sits depends on the bank's current design, so follow the labels on your own screen.
Text PDFs, scans and password-protected files
A PDF that you download from online banking normally has a real text layer, and Satr can read its rows. You can test this by trying to select text in the PDF.
A scan or a photo of a paper statement has no text layer, and Satr has no OCR, so it cannot read it. Download the PDF again from online banking instead.
Password-protected PDFs open after you type the password in your browser. Neither the password nor the file goes to a server.
How Spain amounts and dates are handled
Statements in Spain usually show amounts in EUR (€) with a comma (,) as the decimal mark and a dot (.) as the thousands separator. A typical date format is DD/MM/YYYY.
Because the decimal mark is a comma, the preview shows whether Satr chose the right number format, and you can switch it.
Satr recognised these number and date patterns in our own checks, and you can still change the number format and column roles before exporting.
Using the Excel file in ContaSOL, A3, and Holded
Accounting packages used in Spain, such as ContaSOL, A3, and Holded, let you import spreadsheet files. Export from Satr as XLSX or CSV and match the columns there; Satr is not connected to those programs.
What has been tested
BBVA has not been individually tested with Satr.
Satr works with text-based PDFs. Layouts tested so far: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).
Satr is not affiliated with BBVA. BBVA is named only to describe the PDF you bring.
Your BBVA PDF stays on your device
The PDF is opened with pdf.js in your browser. Account numbers, names and transactions are not sent to a server, and you can check that in the Network tab of your browser. Apart from anonymous page-view counters (event name, language, page path, referrer kind), only if you pay are the plan and a payment reference sent.

Questions
How do I turn my bank statement (extracto bancario) from BBVA into Excel?
That works when your BBVA PDF holds real text. Save it from online banking, load it in Satr, confirm the columns and download XLSX or CSV.
Does my BBVA PDF leave my device?
The file stays on your device. You can watch the Network tab of your browser to see that no upload happens.
Does BBVA endorse Satr?
No. Satr has no connection with BBVA; it is an independent converter.
Does it handle multi-page BBVA PDFs?
All pages in the PDF are processed. If you have twelve monthly PDFs, convert each one.
How are Spain amounts and dates read?
Typical Spain statements use a comma (,) as the decimal mark and a dot (.) for thousands. Check the preview and change the number format if a value looks wrong.
Can I import the BBVA Excel file into ContaSOL, A3, and Holded?
You can map the exported columns in the import screen of those programs. Satr has no integration with them, so check the import rules of your own software.
