CaixaBank: PDF bank statement (extracto bancario) to XLSX or CSV

A CaixaBank PDF bank statement (extracto bancario) becomes an Excel sheet in three moves: download the PDF from CaixaBank, open it in Satr, then export XLSX or CSV. Your file is processed locally and never sent to a server.

About CaixaBank statements

CaixaBank is a bank in Spain, and its customers usually download a bank statement (extracto bancario) as a PDF from online banking or the mobile app.

CaixaBank runs its head office from Valencia. The bank's web address is caixabank.es.

Getting the PDF out of CaixaBank

Open the bank statement (extracto bancario) area of CaixaBank online banking or its app, select the account and the date range, then save or export the result as PDF. Where exactly this sits depends on the bank's current design, so follow the labels on your own screen.

Text PDFs, scans and password-protected files

When the bank generates the PDF itself, the text inside is real text, not a picture. Satr reads that text layer and rebuilds the rows from it.

A scan or a photo of a paper statement has no text layer, and Satr has no OCR, so it cannot read it. Download the PDF again from online banking instead.

Password-protected PDFs open after you type the password in your browser. Neither the password nor the file goes to a server.

How Spain amounts and dates are handled

Amounts in Spain statements are typically shown in EUR (€), using a comma (,) for decimals and a dot (.) to separate thousands. A typical date format is DD/MM/YYYY.

Because the decimal mark is a comma, the preview shows whether Satr chose the right number format, and you can switch it.

In our checks Satr read these patterns correctly; the mapper still lets you switch the number format if a file differs.

Using the Excel file in ContaSOL, A3, and Holded

If you use ContaSOL, A3, and Holded, open the exported XLSX or CSV and match its columns in the program's import screen. There is no connection between Satr and these tools.

What has been tested

CaixaBank is not in our list of individually tested banks.

The parser is generic and reads text-based PDFs. Layouts we have tested so far: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).

Satr is not affiliated with CaixaBank and is not endorsed by it.

Privacy: nothing is uploaded

Nothing in your statement is uploaded. Satr runs inside your browser tab, so the PDF, the rows and the exported file stay on your device.
