Working with your Emirates Islamic PDF

Emirates Islamic is a bank in United Arab Emirates, and its customers usually download a bank statement as a PDF from online banking or the mobile app.

Emirates Islamic is listed as an Islamic bank; its statements may use terms such as profit instead of interest. Emirates Islamic runs its head office from Dubai. It is also known locally as الإمارات الإسلامي, which is the name you may see on a PDF header.

Where to find the PDF at Emirates Islamic

Sign in to Emirates Islamic online banking or the app and look for the bank statement, e-statement or account activity section. Pick the account and the period, and choose PDF as the format. Menu names differ by bank and change over time, so use the PDF option your own screen offers.

PDF types Satr can read

When the bank generates the PDF itself, the text inside is real text, not a picture. Satr reads that text layer and rebuilds the rows from it.

Scanned pages and photos saved as PDF are images. Satr does not do OCR, so it will tell you there is no text.

Password-protected PDFs open after you type the password in your browser. Neither the password nor the file goes to a server.

Formats used in United Arab Emirates statements

Amounts in United Arab Emirates statements are typically shown in AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham), using a dot (.) for decimals and a comma (,) to separate thousands. A typical date format is DD/MM/YYYY or DD-Mon-YYYY.

Right-to-left text is read in logical order, with Latin words and digits kept intact. Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.

In our checks Satr read these patterns correctly; the mapper still lets you switch the number format if a file differs.

Importing into accounting software

Accounting packages used in United Arab Emirates, such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, and Tally, let you import spreadsheet files. Export from Satr as XLSX or CSV and match the columns there; Satr is not connected to those programs.
