Download your bank statement from Indian Bank as a PDF
In the Indian Bank app or website, open the account you need and look for a statement or transaction history option; if it can be saved as PDF, save it. We do not describe exact menus, because they change; search the help section of Indian Bank for “bank statement” if you cannot find it.
What the PDF must contain
When the bank generates the PDF itself, the text inside is real text, not a picture. Satr reads that text layer and rebuilds the rows from it.
A PDF made by scanning paper, or a screenshot saved as PDF, holds pictures only. Satr cannot read pictures, so get the original PDF from online banking.
Password-protected PDFs open after you type the password in your browser. Neither the password nor the file goes to a server.
India: numbers, dates and currency
Statements in India usually show amounts in INR (₹) with a dot (.) as the decimal mark and a comma (,) as the thousands separator. Dates commonly look like DD/MM/YYYY, DD-MM-YYYY, or DD-Mon-YYYY.
Indian digit grouping such as 12,34,567.00 is common; Satr removes the commas correctly when it reads the number. Debit and credit can be marked with Dr and Cr after the amount; Satr reads Dr as a negative number. Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.
We checked sample values in these formats against the shipped parser and they were read correctly; you stay in control, because the number format can be changed in the preview.
Using the Excel file in Tally, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks
Many people in India work with Tally, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks. You can map the Excel or CSV columns in the import screen of those programs; Satr has no integration with them and does not claim any.
Tested or not?
Indian Bank is not in our list of individually tested banks.
The parser is generic and reads text-based PDFs. Layouts we have tested so far: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).
Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Indian Bank. The bank is named only so you know which PDF this page is about.
No upload: how your Indian Bank file is handled
Nothing in your statement is uploaded. Satr runs inside your browser tab, so the PDF, the rows and the exported file stay on your device.
