Working with your Sterling Bank PDF
Sterling Bank is a bank in Nigeria, and its customers usually download a bank statement as a PDF from online banking or the mobile app.
The bank is headquartered in Lagos. The bank's web address is sterlingbankng.com.
Where to find the PDF at Sterling Bank
Sign in to Sterling Bank online banking or the app and look for the bank statement, e-statement or account activity section. Pick the account and the period, and choose PDF as the format. Menu names differ by bank and change over time, so use the PDF option your own screen offers.
PDF types Satr can read
PDF statements generated by a bank system contain selectable text. Those are the files Satr is built for.
A PDF made by scanning paper, or a screenshot saved as PDF, holds pictures only. Satr cannot read pictures, so get the original PDF from online banking.
If the PDF is password-protected, Satr asks for the password and opens it locally; the password is not sent anywhere.
Formats used in Nigeria statements
In Nigeria, amounts are normally written in NGN (₦); the decimal mark is a dot (.) and the thousands separator is a comma (,). Dates commonly look like DD/MM/YYYY or DD-Mon-YYYY.
Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.
Satr recognised these number and date patterns in our own checks, and you can still change the number format and column roles before exporting.
Importing into accounting software
Accounting packages used in Nigeria, such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Zoho Books, let you import spreadsheet files. Export from Satr as XLSX or CSV and match the columns there; Satr is not connected to those programs.
Honest status for Sterling Bank
Sterling Bank is not in our list of individually tested banks.
Satr reads text-based PDFs with a generic parser. So far we have tested these layouts: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).
Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Sterling Bank. The bank is named only so you know which PDF this page is about.
Your Sterling Bank PDF stays on your device
