Working with your BIDV PDF
BIDV is a bank in Vietnam, and its customers usually download a bank statement (sao kê) as a PDF from online banking or the mobile app.
BIDV runs its head office from Hanoi. Its website domain is bidv.com.vn. On some documents the bank appears as Ngân hàng Thương mại Cổ phần Đầu tư và Phát triển Việt Nam.
Where to find the PDF at BIDV
Sign in to BIDV online banking or the app and look for the bank statement (sao kê), e-statement or account activity section. Pick the account and the period, and choose PDF as the format. Menu names differ by bank and change over time, so use the PDF option your own screen offers.
PDF types Satr can read
A PDF that you download from online banking normally has a real text layer, and Satr can read its rows. You can test this by trying to select text in the PDF.
A scan or a photo of a paper statement has no text layer, and Satr has no OCR, so it cannot read it. Download the PDF again from online banking instead.
If the PDF is password-protected, Satr asks for the password and opens it locally; the password is not sent anywhere.
Formats used in Vietnam statements
Statements in Vietnam usually show amounts in VND (₫) with a comma (,) as the decimal mark and a dot (.) as the thousands separator. Dates commonly look like DD/MM/YYYY.
Whole-number amounts with dots as thousands separators, such as 1.234.567, are common; check that the preview shows them as whole numbers. Because the decimal mark is a comma, the preview shows whether Satr chose the right number format, and you can switch it.
We checked sample values in these formats against the shipped parser and they were read correctly; you stay in control, because the number format can be changed in the preview.
Importing into accounting software
Many people in Vietnam work with MISA, FAST, and Bravo. You can map the Excel or CSV columns in the import screen of those programs; Satr has no integration with them and does not claim any.
Honest status for BIDV
No statement from BIDV has been tested individually yet.
The parser is generic and reads text-based PDFs. Layouts we have tested so far: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).
Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with BIDV. The bank is named only so you know which PDF this page is about.
No upload: how your BIDV file is handled
Nothing in your statement is uploaded. Satr runs inside your browser tab, so the PDF, the rows and the exported file stay on your device.
