MB Bank in Vietnam

Customers of MB Bank in Vietnam typically get their bank statement (sao kê) as a PDF, and that PDF is what Satr reads.

MB Bank runs its head office from Hanoi. The bank's web address is mbbank.com.vn. On some documents the bank appears as Ngân hàng TMCP Quân đội.

Download your bank statement (sao kê) from MB Bank as a PDF

In the MB Bank app or website, open the account you need and look for a statement or transaction history option; if it can be saved as PDF, save it. We do not describe exact menus, because they change; search the help section of MB Bank for “bank statement (sao kê)” if you cannot find it.

What the PDF must contain

When the bank generates the PDF itself, the text inside is real text, not a picture. Satr reads that text layer and rebuilds the rows from it.

A PDF made by scanning paper, or a screenshot saved as PDF, holds pictures only. Satr cannot read pictures, so get the original PDF from online banking.

If the PDF is password-protected, Satr asks for the password and opens it locally; the password is not sent anywhere.

Vietnam: numbers, dates and currency

In Vietnam, amounts are normally written in VND (₫); the decimal mark is a comma (,) and the thousands separator is a dot (.). Dates commonly look like DD/MM/YYYY.

Whole-number amounts with dots as thousands separators, such as 1.234.567, are common; check that the preview shows them as whole numbers. Because the decimal mark is a comma, the preview shows whether Satr chose the right number format, and you can switch it.

We checked sample values in these formats against the shipped parser and they were read correctly; you stay in control, because the number format can be changed in the preview.

Using the Excel file in MISA, FAST, and Bravo

Many people in Vietnam work with MISA, FAST, and Bravo. You can map the Excel or CSV columns in the import screen of those programs; Satr has no integration with them and does not claim any.

Tested or not?

MB Bank is not in our list of individually tested banks.

The parser is generic and reads text-based PDFs. Layouts we have tested so far: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).

Satr is not affiliated with MB Bank and is not endorsed by it.

No upload: how your MB Bank file is handled

Nothing in your statement is uploaded. Satr runs inside your browser tab, so the PDF, the rows and the exported file stay on your device.
