Working with your First Bank of Nigeria PDF

Customers of First Bank of Nigeria in Nigeria typically get their bank statement as a PDF, and that PDF is what Satr reads.

Its headquarters are in Lagos. You can find it online at firstbanknigeria.com.

Where to find the PDF at First Bank of Nigeria

Sign in to First Bank of Nigeria online banking or the app and look for the bank statement, e-statement or account activity section. Pick the account and the period, and choose PDF as the format. Menu names differ by bank and change over time, so use the PDF option your own screen offers.

PDF types Satr can read

When the bank generates the PDF itself, the text inside is real text, not a picture. Satr reads that text layer and rebuilds the rows from it.

Scanned pages and photos saved as PDF are images. Satr does not do OCR, so it will tell you there is no text.

Password-protected PDFs open after you type the password in your browser. Neither the password nor the file goes to a server.

Formats used in Nigeria statements

Amounts in Nigeria statements are typically shown in NGN (₦), using a dot (.) for decimals and a comma (,) to separate thousands. A typical date format is DD/MM/YYYY or DD-Mon-YYYY.

Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.

In our checks Satr read these patterns correctly; the mapper still lets you switch the number format if a file differs.

Importing into accounting software

Many people in Nigeria work with QuickBooks, Sage, and Zoho Books. You can map the Excel or CSV columns in the import screen of those programs; Satr has no integration with them and does not claim any.

Honest status for First Bank of Nigeria

Tested layout for First Bank of Nigeria: 6 columns: transaction date, reference, value date, withdrawal (DR), deposit (CR), balance; dates like 01-May-2026; amounts like 1,234.56. Evidence: one redacted sample statement (1 page, 14 rows) kept as a test fixture in a public open-source repository, not published by the bank; all 14 rows and all 6 cells of each row were extracted and checked by eye; the header row is not detected, so column names are set in the column mapper (tested 2026-11-01).

Satr reads text-based PDFs with a generic parser. So far we have tested these layouts: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).

Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with First Bank of Nigeria. The bank is named only so you know which PDF this page is about.

Privacy: nothing is uploaded

Nothing in your statement is uploaded. Satr runs inside your browser tab, so the PDF, the rows and the exported file stay on your device.
