Working with your Kroo Bank PDF

Customers of Kroo Bank in United Kingdom typically get their bank statement as a PDF, and that PDF is what Satr reads.

Kroo Bank is classed as a digital bank, so expect a statement generated by the app. The source lists 2016 as its founding year.

Where to find the PDF at Kroo Bank

Sign in to Kroo Bank online banking or the app and look for the bank statement, e-statement or account activity section. Pick the account and the period, and choose PDF as the format. Menu names differ by bank and change over time, so use the PDF option your own screen offers.

PDF types Satr can read

A PDF that you download from online banking normally has a real text layer, and Satr can read its rows. You can test this by trying to select text in the PDF.

Scanned pages and photos saved as PDF are images. Satr does not do OCR, so it will tell you there is no text.

Locked with a password? Type it into Satr when asked. The password is used on your device to unlock the file and goes nowhere else.

Formats used in United Kingdom statements

Statements in United Kingdom usually show amounts in GBP (£) with a dot (.) as the decimal mark and a comma (,) as the thousands separator. A typical date format is DD/MM/YYYY or DD Mon YYYY.

Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.

We checked sample values in these formats against the shipped parser and they were read correctly; you stay in control, because the number format can be changed in the preview.

Importing into accounting software

Accounting packages used in United Kingdom, such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and FreeAgent, let you import spreadsheet files. Export from Satr as XLSX or CSV and match the columns there; Satr is not connected to those programs.

Honest status for Kroo Bank

No statement from Kroo Bank has been tested individually yet.

Satr reads text-based PDFs with a generic parser. So far we have tested these layouts: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).

Satr is not affiliated with Kroo Bank. Kroo Bank is named only to describe the PDF you bring.

Your Kroo Bank PDF stays on your device

Nothing in your statement is uploaded. Satr runs inside your browser tab, so the PDF, the rows and the exported file stay on your device.
