Working with your TSB Bank PDF

Customers of TSB Bank in United Kingdom typically get their bank statement as a PDF, and that PDF is what Satr reads.

The bank is headquartered in Edinburgh. Its website domain is tsb.co.uk.

Where to find the PDF at TSB Bank

Sign in to TSB Bank online banking or the app and look for the bank statement, e-statement or account activity section. Pick the account and the period, and choose PDF as the format. Menu names differ by bank and change over time, so use the PDF option your own screen offers.

PDF types Satr can read

PDF statements generated by a bank system contain selectable text. Those are the files Satr is built for.

A PDF made by scanning paper, or a screenshot saved as PDF, holds pictures only. Satr cannot read pictures, so get the original PDF from online banking.

Locked with a password? Type it into Satr when asked. The password is used on your device to unlock the file and goes nowhere else.

Formats used in United Kingdom statements

Statements in United Kingdom usually show amounts in GBP (£) with a dot (.) as the decimal mark and a comma (,) as the thousands separator. You will usually see dates written as DD/MM/YYYY or DD Mon YYYY.

Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.

In our checks Satr read these patterns correctly; the mapper still lets you switch the number format if a file differs.

Importing into accounting software

If you use Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and FreeAgent, open the exported XLSX or CSV and match its columns in the program's import screen. There is no connection between Satr and these tools.

Honest status for TSB Bank

TSB Bank has not been individually tested with Satr.

Satr reads text-based PDFs with a generic parser. So far we have tested these layouts: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).

Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with TSB Bank. The bank is named only so you know which PDF this page is about.

No upload: how your TSB Bank file is handled

Nothing in your statement is uploaded. Satr runs inside your browser tab, so the PDF, the rows and the exported file stay on your device.
