About Axis Bank statements
Customers of Axis Bank in India typically get their bank statement as a PDF, and that PDF is what Satr reads.
Axis Bank appears under private ownership in the list we checked. The bank is headquartered in Mumbai. Its website domain is axis.bank.in. The source lists 1993 as its founding year.
Getting the PDF out of Axis Bank
Open the bank statement area of Axis Bank online banking or its app, select the account and the date range, then save or export the result as PDF. Where exactly this sits depends on the bank's current design, so follow the labels on your own screen.
Text PDFs, scans and password-protected files
PDF statements generated by a bank system contain selectable text. Those are the files Satr is built for.
A PDF made by scanning paper, or a screenshot saved as PDF, holds pictures only. Satr cannot read pictures, so get the original PDF from online banking.
If the PDF is password-protected, Satr asks for the password and opens it locally; the password is not sent anywhere.
How India amounts and dates are handled
Amounts in India statements are typically shown in INR (₹), using a dot (.) for decimals and a comma (,) to separate thousands. Dates commonly look like DD/MM/YYYY, DD-MM-YYYY, or DD-Mon-YYYY.
Indian digit grouping such as 12,34,567.00 is common; Satr removes the commas correctly when it reads the number. Debit and credit can be marked with Dr and Cr after the amount; Satr reads Dr as a negative number. Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.
Satr recognised these number and date patterns in our own checks, and you can still change the number format and column roles before exporting.
Using the Excel file in Tally, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks
If you use Tally, Zoho Books, and QuickBooks, open the exported XLSX or CSV and match its columns in the program's import screen. There is no connection between Satr and these tools.
What has been tested
Axis Bank has not been individually tested with Satr.
The parser is generic and reads text-based PDFs. Layouts we have tested so far: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).
Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Axis Bank. The bank is named only so you know which PDF this page is about.
Privacy: nothing is uploaded
Nothing in your statement is uploaded. Satr runs inside your browser tab, so the PDF, the rows and the exported file stay on your device.
