Public Bank: PDF bank statement to XLSX or CSV

A Public Bank PDF bank statement becomes an Excel sheet in three moves: download the PDF from Public Bank, open it in Satr, then export XLSX or CSV. Your file is processed locally and never sent to a server.

About Public Bank statements

Public Bank is a bank in Malaysia, and its customers usually download a bank statement as a PDF from online banking or the mobile app.

The bank is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur. Its website domain is pbebank.com.

Getting the PDF out of Public Bank

Open the bank statement area of Public Bank online banking or its app, select the account and the date range, then save or export the result as PDF. Where exactly this sits depends on the bank's current design, so follow the labels on your own screen.

Text PDFs, scans and password-protected files

A PDF that you download from online banking normally has a real text layer, and Satr can read its rows. You can test this by trying to select text in the PDF.

Scanned pages and photos saved as PDF are images. Satr does not do OCR, so it will tell you there is no text.

If the PDF is password-protected, Satr asks for the password and opens it locally; the password is not sent anywhere.

How Malaysia amounts and dates are handled

Statements in Malaysia usually show amounts in MYR (RM) with a dot (.) as the decimal mark and a comma (,) as the thousands separator. Dates commonly look like DD/MM/YYYY or DD Mon YYYY.

Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.

We checked sample values in these formats against the shipped parser and they were read correctly; you stay in control, because the number format can be changed in the preview.

Using the Excel file in SQL Account, AutoCount, and QuickBooks

Accounting packages used in Malaysia, such as SQL Account, AutoCount, and QuickBooks, let you import spreadsheet files. Export from Satr as XLSX or CSV and match the columns there; Satr is not connected to those programs.

What has been tested

No statement from Public Bank has been tested individually yet.

Satr reads text-based PDFs with a generic parser. So far we have tested these layouts: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).

Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Public Bank. The bank is named only so you know which PDF this page is about.

Your Public Bank PDF stays on your device

Satr reads the file locally. There is no upload, no account, and nothing from the statement is stored on a server. You can confirm it with your browser's developer tools.
