Number, date and currency formats in Malaysia
In Malaysia, amounts are normally written in MYR (RM); the decimal mark is a dot (.) and the thousands separator is a comma (,). Dates commonly look like DD/MM/YYYY or DD Mon YYYY.
Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.
We checked sample values in these formats against the shipped parser and they were read correctly; you stay in control, because the number format can be changed in the preview.
If you use SQL Account, AutoCount, and QuickBooks, open the exported XLSX or CSV and match its columns in the program's import screen. There is no connection between Satr and these tools.

Questions
Can I convert a bank statement PDF from Malaysia to Excel?
Yes, if the PDF has a text layer. Download it from your bank, open it in Satr, check the columns and export XLSX or CSV.
Is my statement uploaded?
No. The PDF is read in your browser and stays on your device.
How are Malaysia amounts and dates read?
Typical statements use a dot (.) as the decimal mark and a comma (,) for thousands, with dates like DD/MM/YYYY or DD Mon YYYY. Satr detects the format and lets you change it in the preview.
Does it work with scanned statements?
No. Scanned pages have no text layer and Satr has no OCR.
Which banks in Malaysia are covered?
Any bank that gives you a text-based PDF statement can be tried. Only banks marked as tested on their own page have been checked; the others have not been individually tested.
