What to expect from your Security Bank statement

Customers of Security Bank in Philippines typically get their bank statement as a PDF, and that PDF is what Satr reads.

You can find it online at securitybank.com.

How to get the PDF bank statement from Security Bank

Ask Security Bank online banking for the bank statement of the account and period you need and download it as a PDF. If a PDF is not offered, the branch or the bank's support can usually provide one.

Which PDFs work

PDF statements generated by a bank system contain selectable text. Those are the files Satr is built for.

Scanned pages and photos saved as PDF are images. Satr does not do OCR, so it will tell you there is no text.

Locked with a password? Type it into Satr when asked. The password is used on your device to unlock the file and goes nowhere else.

Reading Philippines amounts and dates

Amounts in Philippines statements are typically shown in PHP (₱), using a dot (.) for decimals and a comma (,) to separate thousands. A typical date format is MM/DD/YYYY or DD-Mon-YYYY.

Some statements put the month first (MM/DD/YYYY); check the date order in the preview when the day is 12 or lower. Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.

We checked sample values in these formats against the shipped parser and they were read correctly; you stay in control, because the number format can be changed in the preview.

Importing into accounting software

If you use QuickBooks and Xero, open the exported XLSX or CSV and match its columns in the program's import screen. There is no connection between Satr and these tools.

Status of Security Bank in Satr

Security Bank has not been individually tested with Satr.

Satr reads text-based PDFs with a generic parser. So far we have tested these layouts: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).

Satr is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Security Bank. The bank is named only so you know which PDF this page is about.

No upload: how your Security Bank file is handled

The PDF is opened with pdf.js in your browser. Account numbers, names and transactions are not sent to a server, and you can check that in the Network tab of your browser. Apart from anonymous page-view counters (event name, language, page path, referrer kind), only if you pay are the plan and a payment reference sent.
