About BDO Unibank statements
BDO Unibank is a bank in Philippines, and its customers usually download a bank statement as a PDF from online banking or the mobile app.
The bank's web address is bdo.com.ph.
Getting the PDF out of BDO Unibank
Open the bank statement area of BDO Unibank online banking or its app, select the account and the date range, then save or export the result as PDF. Where exactly this sits depends on the bank's current design, so follow the labels on your own screen.
Text PDFs, scans and password-protected files
When the bank generates the PDF itself, the text inside is real text, not a picture. Satr reads that text layer and rebuilds the rows from it.
A PDF made by scanning paper, or a screenshot saved as PDF, holds pictures only. Satr cannot read pictures, so get the original PDF from online banking.
Locked with a password? Type it into Satr when asked. The password is used on your device to unlock the file and goes nowhere else.
How Philippines amounts and dates are handled
In Philippines, amounts are normally written in PHP (₱); the decimal mark is a dot (.) and the thousands separator is a comma (,). Dates commonly look like MM/DD/YYYY or DD-Mon-YYYY.
Some statements put the month first (MM/DD/YYYY); check the date order in the preview when the day is 12 or lower. Dates with month names, such as 01-Apr-2025, are recognised in English; month names in other languages may need a manual check.
Satr recognised these number and date patterns in our own checks, and you can still change the number format and column roles before exporting.
Using the Excel file in QuickBooks and Xero
Accounting packages used in Philippines, such as QuickBooks and Xero, let you import spreadsheet files. Export from Satr as XLSX or CSV and match the columns there; Satr is not connected to those programs.
What has been tested
BDO Unibank has not been individually tested with Satr.
Satr reads text-based PDFs with a generic parser. So far we have tested these layouts: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).
Satr is not affiliated with BDO Unibank and is not endorsed by it.
Privacy: nothing is uploaded
Satr reads the file locally. There is no upload, no account, and nothing from the statement is stored on a server. You can confirm it with your browser's developer tools.
