Number, date and currency formats in Canada
In Canada, amounts are normally written in CAD ($); the decimal mark is a dot (.) and the thousands separator is a comma (,). You will usually see dates written as YYYY-MM-DD or MM/DD/YYYY.
Banks in the same country do not all use the same number format, so check the number format option in the preview. Some statements put the month first (MM/DD/YYYY); check the date order in the preview when the day is 12 or lower.
We checked sample values in these formats against the shipped parser and they were read correctly; you stay in control, because the number format can be changed in the preview.
If you use QuickBooks, Sage 50, and Xero, open the exported XLSX or CSV and match its columns in the program's import screen. There is no connection between Satr and these tools.
Banks in Canada with a guide
We list 10 banks in Canada, taken from the public lists named at the end of this page. A bank being listed does not mean it has been tested.
What has been tested
No bank in Canada has been tested individually yet. Satr works with text-based PDFs, and the layouts tested so far are: 5 synthetic sample statements of fictional banks (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian).
Satr is not affiliated with any bank named on this page.

Is my statement uploaded?
No. The PDF is read in your browser and stays on your device.
How are Canada amounts and dates read?
Typical statements use a dot (.) as the decimal mark and a comma (,) for thousands, with dates like YYYY-MM-DD or MM/DD/YYYY. Satr detects the format and lets you change it in the preview.
Does it work with scanned statements?
No. Scanned pages have no text layer and Satr has no OCR.
Which banks in Canada are covered?
Any bank that gives you a text-based PDF statement can be tried. Only banks marked as tested on their own page have been checked; the others have not been individually tested.
